FRIENDSGIVING 2014

“Invest in the human family. InvesT in people.
Build a little community of those you love and who love you.”

― Mitch Albom, Tuesdays with Morrie

We hosted Friendsgiving the Sunday before Thanksgiving this year. Shea fried 2 turkey birds, baked 2 loaves of bread, and whipped up some homemade cranberry sauce. He is the ulimate dreamboat!!! I went to town on the decor using kraft paper, dried foliage from our wedding arch, seasonal produce (gourds, oranges, pomegranates, cranberries, persimmons, grapes), and tea light candles. Per usual, everyone pitched in and brought their A-game on Thanksgiving dishes and drinks. It's always heaps of fun to host SLO family dinners every Sunday and this particular night was one for the memory books. We both feel so grateful for our tight-knit community who bring good food and good conversation to the communal table every week. :)
