2015 RESOLUTIONS — JANUARY PROGRESS

I think a big reason why people don't achieve their New Year's Resolutions is because they don't revisit them throughout the year. In order to avoid this pitfall, I've made a calendar reminder each month to check in with myself and track my progress. PAY OFF GRAD STUDENT LOAN DEBT

I'm trying to figure out if I should pay off my grad student loan debt by mid-August (my original goal)...or at the end of December (if I scale back my monthly payments I can afford heftier biz purchases without taking out a small biz loan)...or if I should postpone payments and forfeit this financial goal this yearI technically don't owe a principal payment for years since I've been so aggressive with paying back my debt. Freelancing is a bit unpredictable these days...but I'm so damn stubborn in wanting this debt gone that I'd rather pinch pennies to achieve this, arrrgh. Decisions. Any advice on what I should do?

MISCELLANEOUS
designed and purchased return address stamp from Rubber Stamps
invested in a new camera: Canon EOS 5d Mark III :) :) :)
ordered an external hard drive to back up all my cookbook photos + files


BECOME FINANCIALLY RESPONSIBLE AS A FREELANCER

•created an organized system to track business expenses with Freshbooks and the nifty iPhone app Scanner Pro to record receipts
•crunched numbers to calculate my Freelance Finances (thanks Be Free, Lance Workshop :)
•obtained EIN #
•applied for California State Board of Equalization Seller's Permit
•learned how to issue California Resale Certificates as a purchaser


MOVE MORE OFTEN

•hiked Bishop's Peak
•bought hand weights
•attended 3* YMCA fitness classes: 
   •Cycle class (1x)
   •Body Conditioning (1x)
   •Boot Camp (1x)

*Yikes. I had the flu and cough for 2.5 weeks  :(
