ASSIGNMENT

Inspired by the fresh, vibrant, and seasonal signage of Whole Foods Market, our food photography and styling celebrate summer grilling with a playful Mexican twist. Each image is thoughtfully composed with natural textures, honest ingredients, and sun‑kissed color, creating a look that feels as if it was gathered straight from the grocer—inviting, abundant, and real.

From charred tortillas, grilled carne asada, and chilled sandía on ice to glasses of hibiscus agua fresca, crisp produce shots, and cozy prepared dishes, every detail is styled to highlight freshness, flavor, and the joyful spirit of summer dining.

Whole Foods Market’s in-store signage is a signature element of the brand’s visual identity, designed to feel fresh, approachable, and curated. The in-store signage often highlights seasonal ingredients, local products, and sustainable choices, using bold, vibrant colors, clean typography, and playful hand-lettered accents that feel artisanal yet accessible. Each sign communicates not just information, but a mood—inviting customers to explore, discover, and connect with the food on display.

We wanted to pitch Whole Foods Market our imagery because it aligns perfectly with the fresh, vibrant, and seasonal aesthetic the brand is known for. Our photos celebrate honest, high-quality ingredients and thoughtfully composed spreads that feel abundant, approachable, and real—mirroring the energy of their in-store signage and curated seasonal displays.

Overall, the visuals evoke a warm, healthy, and inviting mood that aligns with the ethos of a brand like Whole Foods—where quality, freshness, and visual clarity are paramount, and where food feels both elevated and genuinely accessible.

This is the beauty of a test shoot: it allows you to demonstrate to prospective clients that you truly understand their visual identity and can translate it into compelling imagery, while also showing that you’re collaborative and adaptable on set. It’s a chance to align your creative vision with theirs, experiment with styling and composition, and present a polished, ready-to-go aesthetic that reflects both the brand and your expertise.
